Six speed transmissions-
Things to consider…Direct
drive or overdrive. Gear set
only or complete
transmission in silver,
black, polished or chrome.
Benefits of upgrading to a
six speed transmission
include smoother shifting
and lower RPM’s at cruising
speeds.
Dyno Tuning-
Dyno tuning is a must when
the goal is to achieve the
most power from your
performance work on a fuel
injected bike. It allows for
adjusting the air/ fuel
ratio, the ignition timing
and the rev limiter.
Carbureted bikes also
benefit from Dyno tuning
EFI fuel management-
Harley Davidson closed loop
systems will adjust to non
stock components such as
performance mufflers and air
cleaners, but only in a
narrow range. Closed loop
systems use feedback from
the oxygen sensors to adjust
the fuel automatically.
(hence the term closed loop,
the oxygen sensors close the
loop) For maximum power
something needs to be used
to adjust the fuel curve.
Fuel Pack, Power Commander,
Race Tuner and Thundermax
are all options. Open loop
systems will not adjust,
they are only capable of
delivering fuel based on a
downloaded map.
More inches- Just by doing top end work, you can go from 88” to 95” and 95” or 96” to 103”. Your decisions to make are compression, head work or not, where do you want to gain the power? Top end horsepower or low end torque?
If you are thinking bigger thoughts, like 110”, 116” or 124”…we could accommodate you as well. These are all bottom end jobs and require new flywheels
